ZoomAndGo.com is a travel Web site boasting the world’s largest online collection of hotel video captured by travelers, and a unique loyalty program allowing travelers to earn money each time they book a hotel, review a hotel or post a video or picture to the site. Through Zoom And Go, travelers have the opportunity to share with other travelers and make money for their submissions.

As was stated many times in our previous reviews, music has become a huge part of our life. Many artists have brought their own interpretations of music which they can share with their listeners - us. Newer artists are increasing by the number nowadays, and it’s become even harder for them to share their music, and for us to get to know their music personally. The real connection begins by connecting them together, and that’s why HayStack was developed.

HayStack is a web2.0 ajax based music social networking site. HayStack aims to be an extension to your life as a musician, music seeker or music recommender. With HayStack, you can find music, pictures, videos and reviews of artists young and old through friends and Tastemakers, and you can share your own comments and reviews (called “stacks”) with the other members. A “stack” is your list of recommendations (the songs, artists, tastemakers, and media) that everyone else just simply has to check out. Stacking an item is as easy as clicking on the “stack this” icon next to what you’d like to recommend. Just enter a short review, and you’ve created a stack. Stacks are tallied and gathered in a page where you can view other like-minded users. You can also create your own profile page with HayStack’s drag and drop layout manager, add embedded media, change background, add images and documents, and make your own playlist which you can listen to during your visit to HayStack. Overall, HayStack provides a good interface and design. Launched in October 2006, HayStack offers a new look and feel in the music social networking niche. WorldTechLogic has posted several similar sites before called Sonific’s SongSpot, Last.FM and SellABand. One other different type of website (but still falls within the music social networking site category) that you might want to check out on is the JamGlue, a music social networking site that lets you mix your own tracks. In terms of site design and features, HayStack falls a bit short behind Sonific’s SongSpot, Last.FM and SellABand. Specifically for Sonific’s SongSpot, they provide the ability to embed their flash music player into other websites; a feature that the rest might want to follow. The strongest point of HayStack lies in their ajaxified drag and drop profile page (everything in ajax are looking good nowadays). So can HayStack keep up with the rest? We don’t know yet. But regretfully, for now, we have to give our pick to Sonific’s SongSpot for the best music social networking site out there (read why in our review of Sonific’s SongSpot).

Online games has been a popular niche today. Games allow us to step out of our hectic life, and be relax for a while. With the many game sites out there, finding one can be difficult sometimes. How about playing games combined with social networking? Playing games PLUS making new friends as well? And if you’re a game developer, how can you make money if your games are used by the site? Kongregate is a web2.0 ajax and flash based online hub for players and game developers to meet up, play games, and operate together as a community. Anyone can add their own games to Kongregate’s library. Clicking the “manage my games” link in your profile page will bring you to a separate page in which you can edit information for games you’ve uploaded. While you won’t be able to change the title of your game (that title is, after all, part of the game’s URL) or delete your game entirely, you can update anything else, including the description, instructions, tags, etc. Kongregate also gives you points when you: upload games, have your games featured, rate games, invite friends, submit valuable feedback, find bugs, etc. Your level will automatically rise as you earn points, showing others the contribution you’ve made toward making Kongregate a better place to hang out and play games. Points are used to redeem prizes like T-Shirt, admin priviledges, and such, but the details are still being worked out (Thanks to EmilyG - Kongregate’s admin - for the explanations).

For the game developers, Kongregate shares between 25% and 50% of ad revenue generated within a game and game page (advertising elsewhere is not included - such as on a profile page). To qualify for an additional 15% of your game’s ad revenue, the game cannot be hosted on any website beyond Kongregate, with the exception of your own personal site. Nevertheless, you still hold the complete rights to your game, so you can put your game elsewhere should you want it to (no 15% exclusivity bonus anymore). However, you must modify your account settings and deactivate the bonus before you upload your game elsewhere.

JamGlue is a web2.0 ajax and flash based online community for creating and sharing music. JamGlue lets you upload as much music as you want to its library, create mixes from music created by yourself or other people (as long as licenses match), and share your creations with the world. One of the coolest things about JamGlue is that all the music on the site is remixable. If you like a mix that you’re listening to, just click the REMIX button to see how it was created. You can easily improve your mixing skills by looking at other people’s mixes and using their techniques in your own mixes. If you think that you would have done something different, try out your mixing skills and save your own copy of the mix. Mixing on JamGlue is very easy to do. JamGlue has put a great deal of development into making the experience as easy and as accessible for everyone as they can. And if you are really good in mixing music, you can enter the JamGlue’s contests.

Overall, JamGlue is an excellent web service with an easy to use interface and an extensive database of user uploaded tracks / mixes. WorldTechLogic has posted other online music communities before, such as: Sonific’s SongSpots, Last.FM, and SellABand, but none offer the same feel of creating your own music like JamGlue. Unlike JamGlue, Sonific’s SongSpots, Last.FM and SellABand lets you hear new music from new artists. They are different in many ways, but similar in one thing, and that is their music appreciation.

Online social networking has become more and more popular these days. It would seem people are more and more embracing the idea of an online interaction. It is understandable since internet knows no boundaries. With the web2.0 ajax technology, the social networking niche has a treat. And now, WorldTechLogic presents Capazoo.

Capazoo is a member-driven virtual community website where you can create your own network of friends and family and meet new people. Capazoo helps you organize your life and communicate with other people easily. At Capazoo, you will have a private place to call your own, and also a public forum you can share. You have full control over what you make public, while protecting what you want to have kept private. With the Capazoo, changing wallpapers, color palletes, avatars, and your “quote and state” of the day are as easy as a one single mouse click. You will also have an email address of your own (your-username@capazoo.com) which you can access from the CZ Mail in your Capazoo account. If that isn’t enough, Capazoo will have more features in the future. It will ofer Photocasting, Blog News, CZ Stars, CZ Sports, video broadcasting, and many more great interactive features.

Overall, Capazoo does offer something new from the usual social networking sites we know. For one thing, it’s ajax-based. Another thing is the free email offerings from Capazoo. The ability to choose your own wallpaper is awesome. Too bad Capazoo does not have the ability to blog, or to host videos or audios yet. With the many social networking sites, such as: YesNoMayB, MDJunction, MyBlogLog, MyOutDoors, FuelEmpire, MommyBuzz, GolfBuzz, DesignsToLove, Elgg, HotSpots, Squirl, CityTherapy, AmateurIllustrators, etc, penetration to the niche will not be easy for Capazoo. Albeit it has implemented ajax web2.0, without proper planning, niche, and socialization, Capazoo will not survive in the competition. We’ll just have to wait and see until Capazoo comes out from its Beta phase.

Of course they weren’t as cool as they are now, but remembering those good old days makes us young again. Now how well do you know your superheroes? Want to be a contributor to a comic’s database? For those of you (superhero) comic lovers out there, you have a big treat. Check out ComicVine and you’ll see what we mean.

ComicVine is a web2.0 ajax-based comics social networking site, as well as a user-submitted encyclopedia for comics. ComicVine aims to become the most up-to-date and authoritative resource on the Internet for its niche. With ComicVine, you can create your imaginary profile along with your own alter-ego (a superhero or a villain), add your own superpowers, weaknesses, bio, even pictures if you want to dress up for it. You can also add other members as your friends, enemies or sidekicks, discuss comic stuffs in the forum, check out superheroes, teams, and comic creators’ bios and database, vote in superheroes matches, send private messages to other members, and see other members’ blogs or create your own blog posts. ComicVine has a very extensive database on superheroes, teams, and creators. ComicVine is driven by community contributed contents (wiki-like). It means that, as a user, you will be able to edit all of its contents’ database, as well as adding new superheroes, teams, story arcs, creators, etc pages. All edited/submitted contents will be moderated by the admins afterwards for validity checks.

Overall, ComicVine is impressive for a site built around comics. ComicVine is completely custom built and uses a toolset made specifically for the cataloging of comics and comics alone. In terms of design, it is great. It shows that the creators are really serious about the site. On the social networking side, however, we feel that ComicVine still lacks most of the features that makes a good social networking site (like: YesNoMayB, MDJunction, MyBlogLog, MyOutDoors, FuelEmpire, MommyBuzz, GolfBuzz, DesignsToLove, Elgg, HotSpots, Squirl, CityTherapy, AmateurIllustrators, etc). Adding friends, for example, is quite hard, as you cannot see other members’ profiles directly from your admin (”My Vine”) page. You will need to browse around a bit, and visit the forum to check out some of the other members (or browse around your default friends - creators of ComicVine - to see their friends). And one feature we are dying to see is a “Create Your Character” feature like what Mix-Mas or IMVU has done (flash based).

Nowadays, people does everything online. From shopping to work collaboration, the world of internet has made it possible for a more easier interactivity that is boundless by space and time. What about Online Dating? Are there such a site? WorldTechLogic now presents YesNoMayB.

YesNoMayB is a flash-based online dating that is fresh, fun and with a modern spin. With YesNoMayB, you can use FaceSpin, a tool which shows you who’s out there ready to date. Overall, YesNoMayB has a different look and feel of the common dating sites. The idea is excellent, in which you see the photos first, put a yes, no, or mayb status, and if they like you back, you can start flirting away. The paid membership is $12 /month with discounted prices if you pre-paid for certain months. With the paid membership, you will be able to have the SMS alert, unlimited daily FaceSpin (the free one limits to 50 views per day), and up to 9 additional photos. A note for dating sites, WorldTechLogic has covered one dating site called Prescription4Love. Unlike YesNoMayB, Prescription4Love focuses on STD people. Although on a different niche, both have the same purposes: Online Dating!

Viddler is a web2.0 ajax-based social networking site that lets you upload, enhance, and share digital video quickly and easily inside your web browser. Besides Adobe® Flash® 9 and up (you can download the latest version HERE), there is no third party software that you will need to use Viddler. Viddler has three goals:

• Sharing Your Story
  Got a camera and some friends? Go have fun, and put the result on Viddler. Want some exposure for the movie you made at film school? Put it on Viddler — it gives you the opportunity to reach out to thousands of viewers online.
• Making Search Results Relevant
  Since Viddler searches inside the content of videos, its users have a lot of flexibility when it comes to finding new material to watch. Search for any object, person, or place and the results will be staring you in the face with exactly what you wanted.

Overall, Viddler has a nice interface and clean design. Finding videos and sharing them on your account is very easy. You will have 3 choices whether to make your videos public, shared or private. By default, newly uploaded videos are set to private. This means only you can view the video. If you set a video’s status to shared, you can let only a specific group of people watch it. If you make a video public, you make it available to everyone to see. Cool stuffs! As for the social networking side, WorldTechLogic has posted several others in the past, such as: MDJunction, MyBlogLog, MyOutDoors, FuelEmpire, MommyBuzz, GolfBuzz, DesignsToLove, Elgg, HotSpots, Squirl, CityTherapy, AmateurIllustrators, and many more, each with their own niche.
