Ever had that urge to show off your best work, but confuse on where you can publish your portfolio? Sometimes it is not easy for us to create and maintain our own online portfolio. Especially if you’re on a tight schedule for a meeting, and have to come up with a fast one. Fortunately for you, there’s CarbonMade now.
CarbonMade is a web2.0 ajax-based Portfolio creator that allows you to create your portfolio and publish it on the web. With CarbonMade, you can add projects, pictures, Flash files, add captions, add a Google Analytics code and provide feeds your project listings. You can also create project categories, choose how your portfolio page will be displayed in the Settings Section (background color and fonts), choose how your thumbnails will be shown (1,2 or 3 thumbnails project per row, no thumbnails, horizontal, vertical or a list view) and set your project to be visible or hidden. In the “About” section, you can create your profile, add image profile, set your portfolio as “Available for Freelance” if you want to do some freelancing work, and add Tags for both your projects and Skills. Overall, CarbonMade is a simple and powerful portfolio tool. Built extensively using Ajax, CarbonMade is fast and easy to use. There are currently two version of CarbonMade which you can choose from: The free version (or the “meh” version) which allows you to have up to 5 projects and 35 images, and the paid version (called the “Whoo!” – $12/month) which allows you to have up to 50 projects, 500 images and 10 videos.
