Joopz is a web2.0 ajax-based online text messaging service that enables “web textingâ€, a two-way communications from the Web to any mobile phone and back. Think of Joopz as your online command center for text messaging. Joopz allows users to send text messages from the Web to both individuals and groups, while enabling recipients to respond directly to the originating PC or Mac. Joopz web texts can be sent from any web-enabled device worldwide to any U.S. or Canadian mobile phone. Joopz has two group type: chat and broadcast. When you send a message to a chat group, group member replies go to all group members, and not just you. Joopz offers two different services: Basic (Free) and Premium. The basic service allows you to send up to 10 messages per month, and the premium service, which costs as little as $2.95 per month, enables you to send and receive unlimited text messages and provides access to all Joopz features including advanced contact management and history of all messages sent. With Joopz, you can have:

- SMS Forwarding
If you have finished working on your computer, but you want to continue to receive Joopz messages from recipients, simply click on “SMS Forwarding†to have all Joopz messages sent to your cell phone
- Text Reminders
Joopz helps you manage your life by tracking what you need to do and when, and then sending a text reminder
- Scheduled Messages
A birthday, an anniversary, a graduation – send delayed text messages for the recipient to receive at a specific time – a day from now, a week from now, a year from now
Overall, Joopz has been a very easy to use web service. Its interface is very very simple. When you have logged in, you can send messages to either one user or a group of users by typing the message on the left text field. You can set a reminder at the bottom left, and change your password by clicking the Settings button. Unfortunately, the “History” menu is for the paid accounts only. But, free SMS is quite sufficient for us!
To signup for a Joopz account, simply go to their website and type in your mobile number.
