Cogentoo: Find Out the Behavioral Pattern of Your Web Users

cogentoo_logo.pngFinding out the behavior of users in your website is very hard. How can you know which links or menu users click the most? How can you measure the effectivity of your website? Your user guidance interface? Data needs to be collected and analyzed to come up with a behavioral pattern/trend to optimize your website even further. Before, these things are not possible. But now, with the significant improvement in the internet technology and frameworks, what we thought impossible is now possible. Let us introduce Cogentoo.

Cogentoo is a Web2.0 web-based user behavioral tracking service. Its purpose is to help website owners/developers better understand the various behaviors of visitors on their site. This includes, but not limited to, how a visitor utilizes a site’s user interface, which content results in the most interactivity, or on a more commercial level, the ability to determine how a visitor interacts with various methods of monetization. Cogentoo displays visitors’ activity via its site-specific data visualization and analytics tools. These services are designed to easily communicate detailed visitor activity, existent in nearly all sites, to each site’s owner.

Cogentoo has a limitation of 20,000/month click maximum, which is more than enough to generate some great reports. However, Cogentoo is working to develop a broader, more decentralized reporting service since there will be an enormous amount of raw data being collected via Cogentoo‘s user’s sites, an emerging new patterns, and a detailed common trends in site activity. A significant amount of Cogentoo‘s efforts will go to organizing these trends into useful data visualization models, applicable to not only site design and optimization, but also in marketing.

We are quite impressed with what Cogentoo has achieved so far. Heat maps and clicks pattern are being presented with clear data and visualization. On another note, WorldTechLogic has posted another web2.0 Ajax-based behavioral tracking service in the past called ClickDensity. Here is our post on ClickDensity. Since both have similar features, each will have to come up with something new to be ahead of each other. If Cogentoo can come up with better reporting, analysis and trend/pattern generation, Cogentoo may very well be the winner in this business. We’ll just have to wait and see until Cogentoo comes out of its Beta Phase.
