After DesignsToLove, we’ve found another niche social networking again on the net. It’s called GolfBuzz. And Yes, as you might have guessed it, it’s for golfers and golf enthusiasts alike.

GolfBuzz is a website for the golf enthusiast who is tired of cluttered websites that do not focus on their needsâ€â€redefining their golf experience on the Internet. It is the first golf’s social network that allows its users to get and stay connected. GolfBuzz has a worldwide presence and is currently available in five languages. GolfBuzz‘s goal is to provide the everyday golfer with the tools necessary to improve their game and keep their passion for the game alive and prospering. Its focus is on providing rich content and interactive tools rather than tournament coverage/news. These engaging tools allow golfers to stay connected to their friends in the game of golf wherever they are.
GolfBuzz was established in 2005 after realizing the need for software focused on the individual golfer and their game. With GolfBuzz, users can write their own blog entries and also review and rate courses they have played. There is also a course finder feature which lets you see all the courses on a map, and see if the course has been reviewed or not. In the user’s dashboard, you can find an online calendar which allows you to manage tee times.
All and all, GolfBuzz is a nicely developed site which clearly focuses on golfers, amateurs and professionals alike. It is great for golfers to find other golfers out there, but as for the social networking features, well, that’s a different story. If you expect a Friendster-like features, you will likely be dissapointed as most of the well known social networking features are not present in GolfBuzz. Otherwise, it’s an excellent tool for golfers with plenty of resources in it.
