When wandering the streets of New York (Manhattan, really) looking for something to take care of that growing growling in your stomach, you might want to grab the nearest computer and tak a look at Jason’s NYC Restaurant Map.
So, what the heck is it? NYC Restaurant Map is a “mashup†of data I accumulated while working in Manhattan for 10 weeks earlier this year and Google Maps. The restaurants on the map are representative of either places I had the luxury of eating at or were recemmendations of places I wanted to try but never got the chance.
The restaurants, as he mentions, are just ones that he’s noticed/tried/etc and not (by far) all of the ones around there, but it is a good reference point to see what’s around. Clicking on each item will give the location, focus the map on it, and show another tab with some notes on the establishment.
Users can even submit their own restaurants to be added to the map, including their own notes.
